Folders: file & organise your mail

Keep your inbox under control by filing messages into folders. Here's what each standard folder is for and how to move mail around.

  1. Know your folders

    • Inbox — new mail arrives here.
    • Sent — a copy of everything you send.
    • Drafts — messages you started but haven't sent.
    • Archive — mail you want out of the inbox but not deleted.
    • Trash — deleted mail, kept until you empty it.
  2. Archive from the inbox

Open a message and tap Archive to move it out of the inbox into Archive. If your account doesn't have an Archive folder yet, fjell.email creates one the first time you use it.

  3. Move a message to any folder

To file a message somewhere specific, use Move and pick the destination folder. On a wide screen you can also drag a message onto a folder in the sidebar. You can move several at once when you have multiple selected.

  4. Delete & empty Trash

Delete moves a message to Trash. From inside Trash, Delete permanently removes it for good. Deleting is reversible right up until you permanently remove it, so it's safe to tidy aggressively.
